About Scooby

Meet Scooby - a big, goofy softie with a heart of gold and a whole lot of growing up to do! At just 9 months old, this German Shorthaired Pointer x Great Dane mix is still very much a puppy in a very large body. Scooby adores people and has all the makings of a loyal and loving companion-he just needs help learning how to manage his excitement and navigate the world calmly.

Scooby is looking for his furever home with an adult family, where he'll have the time and love to work on his training and lots of it! Scooby has a lot to learn, but is full of potential and has shown that with structure, calm handling, and routine, he begins to shine. In quieter moments, he shows his gentle, sweet side-happily chewing a toy or dozing off in a comfy spot.

Being a young dog, Scooby is still learning his manners and will need help with meeting other dogs. He could live with another friendly and robust canine friend, pending a meet & greet, but at home Scooby will need appropriate managing with slow introductions.

Scooby is looking for a home that can support him through his adolescent phase and help him become the well-rounded dog he's meant to be. He's not just a big dog-he's a big commitment, but one that will be incredibly rewarding for the right person!
