Meet Heston
Heston is a sweet, gentle young man who's had a tough start to life before coming into our care. Despite everything, he's shown a loving nature and a willingness to trust.
He's currently quite underweight and understandably a bit snatchy with food. To help him feel secure and develop better impulse control, he'll benefit from slow feeders and food-based enrichment to encourage calm, positive mealtimes.
Heston would love nothing more than to be allowed indoors as part of the family. A warm, comfy bed and a quiet home environment would mean the world to him.
He's best suited to a home with calm, older children. Any kids will need to meet him at the time of adoption and be respectful of his space.
Heston must meet any resident dogs during the adoption process. He can be quite worried and avoidant around other dogs at first, but has shown he can build comfort after slow, gentle introductions-extended walks can help. He may do best with a calm, respectful dog who can give him space and time to settle.
Heston is ready for a fresh start and a family to help him feel safe, loved, and finally home.
