About Adrian
Adrian is a bouncy, boisterous young boy with a heart full of potential. Friendly and people-focused, he seeks out pats and affection, and will happily greet you with enthusiastic licks before taking a bit of space to settle. He's still learning how to manage his excitement and can come across as a little scattered, but his affectionate nature shines through.
Adrian is food-motivated and takes treats gently, which will be a great asset as he begins his training journey. He doesn't yet know any basic cues and will need a committed owner to start from scratch, using positive reinforcement to help him build skills and confidence.
Walks are still a new experience for Adrian. Having never been on a lead prior to coming into care, he tends to zig-zag and pull, but stays close to his handler and often checks in. With consistent training and patience, he'll learn to walk calmly and confidently.
Adrian is undersocialised with other dogs and can be fearful and anxious of them. He may initially show signs of discomfort, but does begin to soften with time and positive experiences. Slow introductions, calm environments, and ongoing guidance will be essential.
Adrian will thrive in a calm home that can provide structure, support, and plenty of positive reinforcement. His adopters will need to be experienced with border collies. With time and guidance, he's sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
