About Dottie
Dottie is a sweet, playful young lady with a big personality and an even bigger love for toys-especially the squeaky kind!
Dottie is very food-motivated (she lives for treats!) and tends to eat quickly - so she LOVES to use her nose for enrichment feeding! Still being a young girl, she'll thrive with activities that challenge her brain and help her burn off energy.
Her enthusiasm is infectious, but it can sometimes bubble over, especially when she's really excited. She can get a bit snatchy with toys, so she'll benefit from continued training to help her learn how to play gently and trade items for other fun rewards!
While she's dog-social and enjoys the company of calm, friendly dogs - she can become a bit overexcited and be a bit cheeky. She will need a family who understands this and is committed to helping her build better coping skills through calm structure, consistency, and training.
Dottie would do best in a home with older, respectful children who can understand her need for space and appropriate play. She must meet all household members at the time of adoption, and any resident dogs must also come along to ensure a good match.
With guidance, patience, and love, Dottie has the potential to become a truly wonderful companion. She's got all the right ingredients-she just needs the right environment to thrive.
