About Travis

Suki, Jimbo & Travis!These 3 siblings are a mix of border collie & kelpie & are as smart as they come! Having only very recently arrived at the shelter, we are still getting to know these gorgeous pups. Suki is currently the most confident & leads the way for her brothers to follow. Jimbo is a bit of a clown, but also a very sweet and affectionate little boy. Travis needs some confidence building & finds the shelter a bit overwhelming, but he is super-duper handsome!Being a working breed mix, strong consideration needs to be given as to whether these types of dogs are compatible with your lifestyle. Kelpies are the genius of the dog world & require daily exercise - not only their bodies but their brilliant brains too. They thrive when given the opportunities to learn, to problem solve & to work. This is so reinforcing for them. They don't actually need to be working livestock, but they do need space to run, games to play, behaviour to learn &, above all else, connection with their humans.All 3 pups were quite nervous coming into shelter; they came from a property where they had a lot of space to run around. Ongoing positive reinforcement training would be highly beneficial for them.
