About Jim

Jim is a gentle and sensitive Kelpie who is still finding his confidence in the world. Initially a little nervous, he responds well to calm, patient handling and has shown he can tolerate vet exams with quiet resilience. Jim is very food motivated-he loves his licki plate and takes treats gently, which will be a great asset for ongoing training. He already knows how to sit and walks nicely on lead, though he can be quite vigilant in new environments. While still underconfident around other dogs, Jim does show social interest and may display herding behaviours, typical of his breed, and may do well in a home with another social working breed dog, pending a meet and greet. However, he will not be suitable for a home with cats. He'll thrive in a quiet, supportive home that can continue to help him build trust and confidence at his own pace. With the right guidance, Jim will make a loyal and rewarding companion.
