About Sox
Meet Sox - A Quiet Boy with a Gentle Soul
Sox is a shy but sweet young cat looking for a calm and patient forever home. He was found at Wacol and, sadly, never reclaimed. While he was fearful at first, Sox has made wonderful progress. Once he feels safe, he enjoys gentle pats, head bunts, and will even roll over to show his trust. Sox should be started in a small launch room and allowed time to settle before exploring the rest of the house, as large open spaces can overwhelm him. His ideal home will be set up with scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard boxes, igloos, and access to high and low spots like shelves or dressers to help him feel secure. Sox would do best with an experienced, understanding adopter who can give him the time and space he needs to feel confident. He may be suited to a home with older, respectful children who can read cat body language and give him space when needed. While untested with other cats, he may be okay with a calm feline companion given a proper introduction. He may also be able to live with a calm, respectful dog if interactions are well-managed. Sox is very food-motivated and absolutely loves his wet food. He also enjoys a quiet chat and may meow when he's ready for attention. With a gentle routine and lots of love, Sox is sure to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
