Luka's world has been kept very small for most of his life. He's likely missed out on meaningful socialisation and exposure to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Because of this, he can feel overwhelmed and distracted in new environments. His ideal adopter will give him the time and space he needs to settle into a calm home routine before gently introducing him to walks in quiet areas.

Everyday sights and sounds may feel novel to Luka, so he'll need reassurance and gentle encouragement as he learns to navigate his surroundings. He's incredibly food motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. While he's still learning the basics, starting with simple commands like "sit" and using enrichment-based feeding will help build his confidence and trust.

Luka would thrive in a peaceful home with older, respectful children who understand the importance of gentle interactions and giving him space when needed. He's shown a social and tolerant nature with other dogs during meets at shelter, and having a canine companion could be a wonderful source of comfort and confidence for him - especially as he begins to explore the world on walks.
