About Papa Jo
Meet Papa Jo - Your Sensitive Sweetheart in Search of a Gentle Home
Papa Jo is a tender, thoughtful soul who just needs a little patience and understanding to bloom into the loving companion he truly is. He can feel a bit overwhelmed in big spaces at first, so he'll need to start his journey in a cozy small launch room where he can settle in at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he'll happily explore the rest of his kingdom!
Papa Jo loves having places to perch and hide, so a home with cat trees, scratch posts, cardboard hidey-holes, and comfy shelves will make him feel like a very lucky boy. He's a sensitive guy, so gentle interactions are key-Papa Jo will let you know when he needs a break with little cues like twitchy whiskers or a flicking tail. When that happens, it's time for a switch to toys or enrichment snacks (his favorites!).
He does best with playtime using toys instead of hands, and twice-daily play sessions will help him burn energy, ease anxiety, and stay happy. Teens or adults who can read basic cat body language will be perfect companions for him.
Papa Jo has struggled a bit with consistent litter box use, so the right setup will help him succeed. In his launch room, he'll need two large litter trays in important, easy-to-access places, filled with deep, sandy clumping litter. He also prefers open trays where he can see all around him-no hoods or tight corners, please!
To help him truly thrive, Papa Jo is looking for a calm home without other cats, dogs, or young children, where he can feel safe and understood.
If you're ready to offer patience, love, and a peaceful space, Papa Jo is ready to give his whole heart in return.
