About Henry
Henry is a very shy, sensitive boy who will need a calm, patient home and time to settle in. He must start in a small "launch room" and be allowed to explore the rest of the house gradually, as large open spaces can feel overwhelming for him. Providing plenty of safe spaces is essential-scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard boxes, cat igloos, and access to shelves or dressers so he can choose both high and low resting spots.
Henry can become over-stimulated with too much petting, so it's important to watch his body language. Signs such as tail flicking, dilated pupils, flattened ears, or whiskers pulled back mean he needs space. Play should always be with toys, not hands, and interaction should stop if he becomes mouthy or over-excited. Structured play therapy twice daily and feeding through enrichment toys will help reduce stress and boredom.
Henry enjoys soft blinks and gentle head scratches and prefers to do things at his own pace. He loves curling up in a safe box or under his scratching post for quiet time. A home with teens or older children who understand cat body language would be best.
