About Gecko

Hi there! I'm Gecko

I'm a cockatiel (sometimes people call us "weiros"!), and I'm a small parrot with a big personality. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, so I'll need a patient home that lets me settle in at my own pace.

Once I feel safe, I love to chirp, whistle, and keep an eye on everything going on around me. I may not be super cuddly right away, but with time, gentle voices, and kindness, I can become a lovely companion.

My care needs:

A spacious cage with room to climb, perch, and stretch my wings
Fresh food and water daily (a mix of quality pellets, seeds, and bird-safe veggies)
Toys and enrichment to keep my mind busy
Time outside my cage in a safe, supervised space
A calm, predictable environment (loud noises can be scary for me)
Regular cleaning to keep my home healthy

I'd do best with someone who understands birds or is willing to learn, and who will go slow and respect my boundaries.
