Whether you're working from home or relaxing on the couch, she's happiest when she's where you are. Despite her affectionate nature, Olivia is still learning that hands and handling are safe, and she can be wary of being touched. She made wonderful progress in foster care and is building positive associations with touch, especially when paired with treats, play, and training.Olivia is seeking:•An adult-only home•A calm, predictable routine•Guardians who can read cat body language and respond appropriately to signs of discomfort•A home that can offer choice, control, and patient support•A solo-pet home - Olivia is fearful of dogs and has no known history with cats, but is likely to do best on her own•Respect her signals-Olivia is clear in her communication and thrives when those signals are honouredPersonality & Behaviour:•Enjoys human company and actively seeks it out•Likes pats on the chin and around the face (when she's comfortable) but needs space if her body language shows signs of conflict (tail flicking, ears to the side, skin twitching along her back)•May 'head check' if she feels overwhelmed by touch - head checking is where she brings her mouth to your hand as a sign to stop any further touch.•Does not like touch on her back, sides, neck, belly, or tailTraining Superstar:Training has been key to Olivia's growth and confidence. She loves learning and eagerly participates when offered tasty rewards (dine paste is a favourite!). So far, she's learned:•'Touch' - nose to fingertip•'Fist bump' - paw to closed fist•'High five' - paw to open handShe's currently working on 'sit' and 'carrier' training to support future vet visits.Olivia is a deeply rewarding companion for someone who sees the beauty in building trust slowly and celebrating every small win.
