About Bubba

Say hi to Bubba! Bubba has been in the shelter for quite some time, winning us over with his sweet & quirky personality. Bubba can initially be a bit shy, and so isn't suited to a home with children. He's a friendly boy who enjoys human company on his own terms; he loves attention but also values his personal space. He will thrive in an adult only home with patient adopters who will take introductions at his pace using positive reinforcement.

To build his confidence, Bubba would love to live with a friendly dog who he can run around with in a large yard, and can show him the ropes at his new home. Bubba hasn't had much experience with other dogs, so would need a tolerant canine companion, and people that are willing to help him learn. The perfect home for Bubba would have humans that are home more than not as he will need some time to settle into his new environment.

Out on walks, Bubba is a dedicated sniffer, taking his time to explore the world. He is highly food-motivated which will help with his training. Bubba will thrive with mental stimulation, scent work, and structured activities to keep him engaged.

Most of all though, Bubba will need some lovely people that have the time for a slow and patient approach as he adjusts to home life. After being at RSPCA for so long, he will need gradual exposure to experiences as everything is new to Bubba!
With the right love and support as his behaviors evolve, Bubba will blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
