About Bryce
Hi, I’m Bryce! I’m a goofy boy who absolutely loves to play, especially with my toys. Soft toys and tennis balls are my favourite and I’ll happily chase them around, though I’m still learning how to bring them back, so I’ll need some help mastering fetch. I’m looking for a mature home that can give me structure and routine, because I can get a bit over-excited when things get too busy. When that happens, I might jump up or get a little mouthy, but with calm guidance, redirection, and rewards for keeping all four paws on the ground, I can learn better ways to behave.
I can feel unsure and a bit tense in new places and when meeting new people (especially new men), so I’ll need a patient family who will go slow with me and give me time to settle in and form a bond. Quiet walks in familiar areas will help me feel safe, and I’ll need my humans to pay attention to how I’m feeling so I don’t get overwhelmed. I’m still building my confidence, so using treats to make things like handling and close contact positive will really help me learn to trust.
I would love to be an indoor dog so I can spend lots of time with my family. Keeping my brain busy is really important for me too, so things like Kongs, snuffle mats, and other food enrichment will make me very happy. I’d do best in a home with older teens who can help with my training and understand my body language so we can all communicate well together.
If you already have a dog, I’d like to meet them first. I might feel a bit unsure at the beginning, but I can become social and playful once I’m comfortable. I do get excited during play though, so I’ll need help taking breaks and keeping things calm. Big, busy places like dog parks or crowded beaches aren’t really for me, but with the right home, I’ll be a fun, loving companion who just needs a bit of guidance to shine.
