About Artemis
Hi! I'm Artemis!
I’ll admit it—I’m a bit of a complicated man… but honestly, aren’t we all?
I had a rough start to life. I spent my early days living on the streets, fending for myself and never knowing where my next meal was coming from. Then, when I was about a year old, I was scooped up and taken to the RSPCA. It was pretty scary at first—suddenly there were humans everywhere! But they gave me a warm bed, regular meals, and a safe place to rest, and I slowly realised this new life wasn’t so bad.
As I settled in, I started exploring more… until the humans tried patting me and giving me these things they call “smooches.” That was a step too far. I’m a tough former street guy, after all—I’m not quite ready for all that lovey-dovey stuff.
Eventually, I earned myself an upgrade and now live in the penthouse suite. I do have to share it with two girls who spend a lot of time on something called a computer and are constantly coming and going, waking me up while I’m trying to sleep. Roommates can be hard work, but they give me chicken sometimes, so I suppose it balances out.
Now I’m looking to move out into a place of my own—with new roommates, a bit more space, and a calmer vibe.
A few things you should know about me
- I must have a room with a window. I like to keep an eye on things—I’m very curious. Bringing in shopping? I need to inspect it. Eating lunch? What is it, and may I sample it?
- I thrive on routine and like my environment to stay the same.
- I will investigate everything. Opening containers is a favourite hobby, and I enjoy reading papers on desks… though I may accidentally knock them onto the floor. Best not to leave anything important out.
- I love cosy nooks for naps. The smaller and snugger, the better—I like feeling safe. Sometimes I’ll even burrow under blankets.
- I need to start out with a smaller space, with the option to explore more of the house once I feel comfortable. I’ve never lived in a home before, so I may take my time adjusting.
- I’m not an outdoorsy guy anymore. Been there, done that—and my white fur isn’t great sun protection anyway.
What I’m looking for in a roommate
- A quiet home, please. I’m still a bit unsure about humans, and too much activity can be overwhelming. No young humans—I find them a bit much.
- Respect for my personal space. All interactions should be on my terms, and preferably involve food.
- Not too many guests. I’m an introvert and prefer the company of people I know and trust.
- I may be interested in living with another fur-human like myself, but introductions would need to be very slow and carefully managed to make sure we’re both comfortable with each other.
If you’re patient, calm, and willing to let me be myself, I might just be the perfect roommate for you.
