About Ernie
Meet Ernie!Ernie was brought into the shelter after being found by a kind member of the public. Ernie is quite shy and is a bit nervous around new people so will need time and patience to settle in. This handsome fella has charm to spare and a personality that's larger then life. Whether he is announcing the dawn or showing off his fancy footwork in the yard, Ernie brings a touch of fun to the barnyard. Ernie enjoys a good snack, a dust bath and the occasional conversation (they do like to talk). Ernie does get along well with hens and he would do best in a home that understands rooster behaviour and has space for him to safely roam and rule. Ernie would love to have some existing hens at their new home (ideally of a similar size) in their new home to look after. Ideally their new home would have a large coop that is fox and weatherproof (photos required at adoption). Do you have room for this sweet guy?For more information on what housing they need: What housing do I need for my chickens? – RSPCA Knowledgebase
Dear Visitor, please note a property check may be required before adoption to ensure the safety and welfare of our animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties.
Please note that this website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted by another party. We unfortunately can not put animals on hold over the phone.
