About Isla
Hi, my name is Isla.
I’m a pretty little lady who hasn’t had the best luck finding my forever home—through no fault of my own. Life happens, and sometimes people’s circumstances change. While I’ve had a few different homes, I’m still hopeful that the right person is out there. I truly believe that this time could be the one that sticks.
I’m a sweet and affectionate girl who loves playtime and snack time. Whether it’s chasing toys or enjoying a tasty treat, I’m happiest when I’m engaged and having fun. I’ve come from quieter home environments and would do best in a similar setting. A home without young children (under 12) would be ideal, as loud noises and busy energy can make me a little unsure. I haven’t met other animals before, so I’m not sure how I’d go living with them. With the right introduction and a bit of time, it’s possible—but I may also prefer being your one and only.
When I first arrive in a new home, I can be quite shy. I’ll need a gentle introduction and a space of my own to settle in—a “safe room.” This is just a quiet, secure area where I can decompress and adjust at my own pace. It should have my litter tray, food and water bowls, a cosy bed, hiding spots, and a few toys. Having this space helps me feel safe and allows me to observe and build confidence before exploring the rest of the house.
One of my favourite comforts—especially when I’m feeling a little unsure—is tucking myself under blankets. At first, this might be my way of helping myself feel safe and hidden while I settle in. But even once I’m comfortable, you’ll often find me curled up under a blanket for a warm nap or just enjoying some quiet time. It’s one of my quirks and something that makes me feel cosy, especially in the colder months.
Once I feel settled and start to trust, I really do enjoy spending time with my people. I like to be near you, soak up your company, and be part of the home in a calm, steady way. I may not jump into your lap on day one, but with patience and love, I will become a loyal and gentle companion.
I’m ready for my final chapter—one filled with safety, love, and maybe a few extra blankets.
