About Harry

Hi, I’m Harry – a distinguished older Staffy gent who’s been waiting far too long (over a year now!) for my forever home. While the team here takes great care of me, what I really dream of is a soft bed, a peaceful backyard, and someone to call my own. I may have a few grey hairs, but I’ve got a heart full of love and a whole lot of life left to share.

I’m not asking for much—just a calm, cosy home where I can finally put my paws up. I still get little bursts of excitement (especially when I see my favourite humans!), but overall, I’m a pretty chill guy who knows the value of a quiet nap and a comfy couch.

Because I do still get a bit bouncy when I’m happy, I’d prefer a home without young kids. Children over 6 would be just fine—as long as they understand when I need some space. And while I love people, I’m not the biggest fan of other dogs, so I’ll need to be your one and only. Dog parks and off-lead adventures aren’t really my thing, but I do enjoy peaceful strolls and sniffing about in a secure backyard.

I’m looking for an experienced owner who understands older dogs and can give me both indoor comfort and outdoor freedom—ideally a home (no apartments please!) with secure fencing and access to both sunbeams and shady spots.

After more than a year in care, I know my special someone is out there—someone who sees the gentle soul behind these wise eyes and is ready to give an old boy the retirement he truly deserves.
