About Rocky

Hi, my name’s Rocky, and I’ve been in care for over 500 days. That’s a long time to wait for a family, but I haven’t given up hope. I know the right person or family is out there—someone who will see me for who I really am: a loyal, loving companion who just needs a chance.

I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys spending time both inside and out. I’d really love a home with outdoor access, where I can curl up inside with you but also explore a safe outdoor space when I feel like stretching my legs or soaking up the sun. I thrive in calm environments and do best when I feel secure and understood.

One thing you should know is that I need to be the only dog in the home. I’m not comfortable sharing my space with other pets, but I promise I’ll give you all my love and attention—no sharing needed. Because of my sensitive nature, I’d also prefer a home with older kids—15 and up would be ideal. I’ve been through a lot, and I need people who are patient and respectful of my boundaries as I settle into a new life.

After everything, I still believe that my forever home is out there. I just need someone to take a chance on me. If you think we might be a match, I’d love to meet you.
