About Cousin

Hey there, my name is Cousin. Interesting name right, you'll have to meet me to get the whole story.

I can tell you a little bit about me though. As you can see I'm a handsome red cattle dog. But I have a bit of history. I haven't had the easiest start to life. But since coming to the shelter I have learnt that most hoomans are great! I have bonded with some of the guys here, but it took a long time, you could say I have some trust issues. Though, the guys I like, I just wanna hang out with aaaallllll day! I love a neck massage, or a little neck and chest scratch, the spots I can't reach. I also like to play fetch with a tennis ball! Don't worry If I destroy it, the more broken the better!

I also have been doing some dog training here, I can sit, drop, loose lead walk, and I'm oh so good at recall and checking in with you. I am a very clever boy, and as a working breed I love to learn. So I would benefit from some further training when I am in the home. Speaking of in the home, I have never had one. So you will have to be patient, please! Everything will be new and overwhelming. To help me settle in, I really love routine. I like to do the same things and rest in the same places, I also love a long lasting chew or a box to tear up.

Meeting me will take some time. The process will be in little baby steps. What can I say, I am a bit of a slow burner, but worth the wait! I can't promise I will be the easiest dog, but once you get to know me, all my flaws and my sparkles, I am sure you will love me just like the guys here! And I will love you and adore you back, I just want a best friend. Will you give me that chance?
