About Bear

Hello there! My name is Bear, and I'm a young German Shepherd cross with a big heart and even bigger dreams of finding my forever family.

I'm a clever, curious, and lively boy who absolutely loves staying active—both in body and mind! Whether it's learning new tricks, exploring on long sniffy walks, or enjoying fun games that challenge my brain, I'm always up for something exciting. I'm looking for a special person—someone who understands my breed and knows how to keep me engaged, happy, and feeling safe.

Now, I should mention that I was born with some spine and hip issues, which may affect my mobility more as I get older. But right now, I can still do all the things other dogs enjoy, and I plan to make the most of every moment! I'll just need a kind and committed human who’s prepared to support me with ongoing care as I grow.

I'm still learning how to be the best pup I can be around other dogs. I get a little too enthusiastic sometimes, but the wonderful staff here have been helping me work on my manners, and I’m making some progress! Because of this, I’d do best as a solo dog in my forever home as at this stage I still have lots of learning to do. Its best if I am exercised in quiet areas or just cross the road if seeing another furry friend. If there are kids in your home, I’d love to meet them too. I’m still getting used to being around little ones, and since I can be a bit bouncy and playful, it’s important they’re dog-savvy and that we all feel comfortable together.

Like many German Shepherds, I have lots of energy and a strong desire to learn. With the right guidance, patience, and love, I know I can thrive. I’m eager to bond with someone who will see past my challenges and recognize all the potential and joy I have to give.
