About Dutch
Hello, I'm Dutch!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself; I'm a little dog with a big bright personality; I'm a huge toy lover and a big fan of afternoon naps. I prefer females to males, and it takes me time to form new bonds with people, but if you can offer a hands-off approach to begin with that will give me the best chance to settle in and get to know you. Once I make friends, I'm very cuddly and affectionate, and very cheeky, I like to steal my foster mums dressing gowns all the time! I was raised in an awful environment and kept for breeding purposes, so I have not had the chance to live a normal life, I was extremely skinny, and my coat was horrible when I first came to the RSPCA, but I've since found a loving foster home where I can show my true colors. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with other dogs, they help me to be confident and brave, so I will need to go home with another social dog for success in the home. I have been in foster care with other dogs of all sizes and some cats, I try to play with the cats, but they just stare at me and walk away, I don't mind though, I just leave them alone. I will need both indoor and outdoor access, a secure yard, and if you are leaving the home I prefer to be inside while I await your return. I can be quite goofy when I want, I love zooming around with toys and cardboard, I can run super-fast when I'm in the mood! If your household is really busy and you have lots of visitors, I probably won't cope very well with all of the noise and movement, but if you have a quiet routine home, and have areas I can hide away from strangers, I will probably be OK. I'm suited to an adult only household, and experienced owner who knows a little bit about us timid and under-socialized dogs, a warm cozy home, and of course plenty of good food so I'm never hungry again.
