Hi there, I’m Emma!

A little shy at first… but worth the wait!!

I’m a sweet, quiet girl who’s still learning to trust the world, and I’ve made some amazing progress here at RSPCA BARC! When I first arrived, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of people… but I’ve discovered that humans can be gentle, kind, and even come with tasty treats!

It may take me a little while to show you my true self, but once I do, you’ll see that I’m affectionate, playful, and oh-so-worth the patience. I enjoy gentle wand play and love batting around ping pong balls, it’s such fun!

Because I can be a bit timid, I’m looking for a peaceful, predictable home, ideally with no super young children, as loud noises and sudden movements can spook me. I’d thrive in a calm environment where I can settle in at my own pace and get to know you gently and gradually.

When I first arrive in my forever home, I’d really appreciate starting off in a “safe space” or launch room, a small, quiet area that’s just for me while I get comfortable. I feel safest when I have a cozy spot to retreat to, and from there, I’ll slowly start to explore and bond with you.
