Hi, I’m Duke,

I may be large in a size, however gentle soul. The world can feel like a big - a little too big and confusing place sometimes, so I’m taking things one step at a time — with soft voices, slow introductions, and a lot of patience.

New people, noises, and environments can be overwhelming for me, which is why I would love to meet all family members before heading home. I’m still figuring out how to interact with other dogs as well at my own pace. Would be really great if I can have a home and all your attention to myself at this stage!

What I’m really looking for is a quiet/calm household where I can feel safe, settle in slowly, and learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. I’d also love indoor/outdoor access with a yard — having a secure yard helps me feel more comfortable when I need a break or some fresh air and especially for when I first come home to settle in first.

I am scared of many things and would love to start my life in the yard then allow me to explore indoor area at my own pace.

I’m not the kind of dog who will leap into your lap on day one, but if you move at my pace, I’ll show you just how sweet and loyal I can be!

I love people - I just need someone who are patient for me to grow confidence and guide me into a loving home & life so I can be better version of myself.
