About Polly

Hello, my name is Polly. I am looking for my forever home with a family that will love me unconditionally. I came from a loving home with other cats I was comfortable with, unfortunately life change and through no fault of my own I ended up in the shelter environment. When I initially arrived in shelter I was so scared, everything smelled different, I could no longer detect the scent of my loving human and cat family. What was going on? Where was I. Where were my family. I was so confused! I stayed in bed all day every day until I was lucky enough to go into foster care. There I had my own space. I spent some time getting comfy in my environment and eventually started to come out of my shell. My carer spent time just sitting with me quietly, which helped me to feel at ease and trust again. I now enjoy human company and touch (on my own terms), especially head pats and back scratches....they feel soooo good. Eventually I progressed to meeting other household cats which I enjoyed. There are times I still get scared, for instance unfamiliar/loud sounds, when approached too quickly or without permission, but overall I feel like a new me. I am very happy with how far I have come, and confident that I can progress even further with the right support. Regardless of what I have been through, I remain polite and poignant. I am not too fussy with food and eat most things, with one of my favourites being chicken. I am also very curious and love to observe as well as lay by the window watching the world and enjoying the sun. I am still living in my foster home until my perfect fit comes along so please send in your enquiry. NOTE: I am an indoor only cat, as I have absolutely no streets smarts and will likely get hurt, lost and very scared if let out.
