About Bear
Meet Bear, a gentle 2-year-old male Maltese. Bear is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy life at his own pace. He hasn’t had much experience walking on lead, so he’ll need a secure, enclosed backyard or attached outdoor space to safely explore and stretch his legs. Right now, a home with outdoor access is essential, as he's still learning the ropes when it comes to life outside.
Bear has a moderate energy level—he enjoys short bursts of play, cozy cuddle sessions, and quiet time by Spot's side. He’s best suited to a home with a predictable routine, where he can feel safe and settled. He can be selective with unfamiliar dogs and prefers to steer clear of busy off-leash dog parks. He thrives with gentle, positive reinforcement training and will really blossom in a home that enjoys helping a dog build confidence. Because he’s still figuring things out, Bear would be happiest in a household with children aged 12 and up who can respect his boundaries and help him feel secure.
Bear is also part of a bonded pair, so he must be adopted with his best buddy Spot. They’re a loving duo who bring out the best in each other—and will double the joy in your home. With a bit of patience, some quiet encouragement, and a loving environment, Bear promises to be a loyal, affectionate companion who will warm your heart every single day. If you have a secure yard, a comfy spot on the couch, and a gentle spirit, Bear might be the perfect match for you
