Hi there! My name is Otis,

It’s very nice to meet you. I’m a sweet young boy who’s looking for a calm, understanding home where I can be given the space and patience I need to settle in and build a trusting relationship. I can be a nervous boy, so at first, I’ll need a safe space to call my own, somewhere with all my essentials, plus places to climb, hide, and observe the world while I get comfortable.

I’ve grown up a bit here at the shelter, and before coming to the RSPCA it’s thought I didn’t have much interaction with people. Because of that, I’ve been learning everything at my own pace. The lovely staff here have helped me so much by giving me choices, respecting my need for touch consent, and showing me love from a distance. Thanks to their patience, I’ve recently turned a new leaf and started approaching them on my own terms to show my affection back.

I can still be sensitive to touch and loud noises, so a quiet, calm household would suit me best, ideally with no children under 12. A peaceful environment helps me feel safe and confident.

I’m also still learning how to be a cat! I love playing with toy balls and soft toys, and I’m very interested in wand toys, even if I haven’t quite mastered them yet. Prey-style wand toys are my favourite, especially the Da Bird wand toy. I really love that one!

I’m hoping to find my special people soon, someone who will love me for who I am, give me time to blossom, and celebrate every small step along the way. If you’re patient, gentle, and kind, I think we could make something really special together.
