About Holly
Hey… I’m Holly, Call sign: Hollywood — I’m a 4-month-old Labrador x Kelpie with a shiny gold coat and a big heart that beats a little fast when I meet new people. I get nervous at first, however if you’re kind and patient, I warm up quicker than Maverick spotting a chance to show off. Once I decide you’re safe? Boom. I’m glued to you. Your shadow. Your wing-pup. Your number one co-pilot.
🛩️ My Ideal Flight Crew
I need someone who’ll go slow with me. Like, “let’s taxi before we take off” slow. Someone calm, gentle, and mostly home at first so I can learn that the world isn’t scary — it’s just… big.
Here’s what my dream home looks like:
- Humans 15+ — younger humans can be loud and unpredictable, and I’m not ready for that kind of turbulence.
- An experienced handler — someone who knows how to help shy pups grow strong and confident.
- A quiet, peaceful home — less aircraft carrier, more private hangar.
- Indoor/outdoor access with a secure fenced yard — I like exploring, but I need safe runways only, please.
- No other dogs (for now) — my social skills are still in rookie mode, and I need gentle, positive introductions before I fly in formation.
- Unknown with other animals — so we’ll need to take introductions slow and steady.
- Food motivated — I repeat: FOOD motivated. Snacks = my love language.
✈️ What I’m Looking For
I’m searching for a captain who believes in me — someone who knows that every great pilot starts out nervous. I may not burst into a room with swagger (yet), but I’ve got heart, loyalty, and the drive to learn. If you guide me with softness and steadiness, I’ll rise to meet you. I’ll try hard. I’ll trust you. And one day, I’ll step onto the runway with confidence because you taught me how to fly.
🐾 So… Are You My Maverick?
If you think we could make a great team, I’m ready to start training — slowly, gently, and with a whole lot of treats.
