Hi there, my name is Eugene

I’m a very handsome boy (I’ve been told I’m a cutie pootie) who’s looking for a calm, understanding forever home.

My story is a little different than most—I spent my early life living around homes, but never actually in one. Because of that, I’m still learning what it means to live with humans. I do okay in new environments, especially when things are peaceful, but I truly thrive in a space where I can take things at my own pace.

When I first arrived, my skin was quite itchy, but I’m happy to say that’s all healed up now and I’m feeling much better. While I’m not used to a lot of human touch yet, I do enjoy being nearby and sharing space. The staff here are still getting to know me, so for now, touch is limited—but who knows what the future holds with my forever people? What matters most to me is that my boundaries are respected, whether they change over time or stay just the way they are.

Because of my sensitive nature, I’d do best in a home without children under 6, and ideally with someone who understands cats like me or is willing to learn. A patient, kind human who lets me set the pace would be my perfect match.
