About HD
Hi there,
My name is HD. I’m a one-year-old blue and white domestic shorthair, and I’ve been told I have quite a personality (I prefer the term “expressive”).
First things first—you should know I have a *very important* daily job: reminding you when it’s time for food. I take this responsibility seriously and will happily scream to make sure you don’t forget. You’re welcome in advance.
I’m a clever boy who really enjoys keeping my brain and body busy. Lickimats, scatter feeds, puzzle feeders—yes, please. If it makes me think or work for my snacks, I’m all in. I also have a strong prey drive, so toys like strings, wand toys, and kicker toys are basically my version of reality TV. Watching me “hunt” is top-tier entertainment.
When it comes to affection, I like to keep things on *my* terms. I can be sweet and affectionate, but I also value my independence. Too much attention all at once can be a bit overwhelming for me, so I may need to take a break and decompress. Think of me as someone who enjoys company—but also really appreciates their personal space.
Because of this, I’d do best in a home that understands my need for balance: playtime, mental stimulation, and a cozy space where I can retreat and recharge. I’m not clingy, but I’ll absolutely form a bond with you in my own unique way.
If you’re looking for a smart, independent, slightly dramatic companion who will keep you entertained, challenge your enrichment game, and occasionally bless you with affection—then I might just be your guy.
Yours (especially at mealtimes),
HD
