Hi, I'm Freya!

I'm a small special canine lady looking for her perfect forever home where I'm loved and cared for. I have a dazzling personality and have a desire to be involved in daily activities, I'm not a girl you can put in the corner while you go and do that over there, I want to help out and be by your side! I may be small and cute, but my breed is faced with difficulties, and I can become hot very quickly, so I need constant access to cooler areas so I can regulate my temperature on warmer busy days. I'm quite a social lady and enjoy making new friends, I've grown up with other canines before and like to be the center of attention, so if you go for the occasional walk down the street - once I've settled in - be sure to plan some extra time so I can say hello to any other dogs walking close by. I will take time to build new relationships and settle into a new home environment, for the first few months I'd prefer to just chill out and explore around the house, going on walks and outings early on while I'm still getting to know you will overwhelm me. I would like a home where someone is home more often than not while I settle in, indoor and outdoor access so I can toilet in private and cool down when needed and an understanding owner who is willing to make compromises to fit me into their lifestyle. I will want to sleep on your bed with you under the covers, and if you want to watch TV, I'm joining you on the couch, no exceptions! I can take time to form bonds with men, I can show fear when first meeting them and took some time to like the male in the foster home, so my new life must include a female as my primary caregiver and support person! I might be a slow burn, but once I'm feeling safe, I'm a lively playful little dog who just wants endless attention.
