About Layla

Meet Layla, our sweet, sensitive young lady! Layla dreams of being an indoor companion, part of a loving family. Layla came into RSPCA care via our inspectorates, and can be quite nervous and anxious, so it's important for her new owner to create a calm environment where she can take her time exploring and adjusting. Ideally, she would thrive with someone at home more often in her first couple of weeks.

Throughout her time in shelter, carers have noticed that Layla can sometimes feel anxious. To help her feel secure, introducing her to a crate as a safe space can be beneficial. You can also engage her with daily enrichment activities, such as frozen Kongs and licky mats, which stimulate her mind and provide comfort. Layla may be a bit wary of close handling, so older children or teens in the home would be ideal. She would do best as the only dog in a home without dog parks or off-leash areas.
