About Rosco
Rosco is a two and a half year old male greyhound who has had a rough start in life as an ex-racing dog. Despite his stoic demeanor, he hasn't had much socialization and can be a bit stubborn at times. Rosco would do best in a home where he is the only animal, as he may not be used to sharing his space with other pets. Like most greyhounds, Rosco loves to be a couch potato and would thrive in a calm and quiet environment where he can relax and unwind.
Although Rosco has had a sad background, we believe that good things are ahead for him with the right family. He may be naturally prey driven, but with proper training and patience, he can learn to redirect his instincts in a positive way. Rosco just needs a chance to show his true potential and with the love and support of a dedicated owner, he is sure to flourish into a happy and well-adjusted dog. If you are willing to open your heart and home to Rosco, you will be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion for life.

We ask for a one-month "foster to adopt" period, giving us all time to ensure that I can adapt to your home. When adopting a greyhound from RSPCA Tasmania, you will receive a special orange collar, which has your dog's unique number on it. Please make sure your grey wears that collar when out and about for a walk.
Dear Visitor, please note a property check may be required before adoption to ensure the safety and welfare of our animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties.
Please note that this website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted by another party. We unfortunately can not put animals on hold over the phone.
