About Bonnet
Male guinea pigs, also known as boars, are gentle, social, and affectionate pets that thrive in a well-structured environment with plenty of interaction. Adopting a male guinea pig means bringing home a loving companion who can form strong bonds with both humans and other guinea pigs (if introduced properly). Guinea pigs are generally calm, but they do require regular care, attention, and space to be happy and healthy.
Personality and Temperament: Male guinea pigs can vary in temperament, but they are often friendly, curious, and playful. While they may initially be shy, especially if they are new to a home or have not been handled much, with patience and consistent care, they can become quite affectionate. Male guinea pigs are social animals that benefit from the company of their own kind. However, it's important to note that boars can sometimes exhibit territorial behavior, so proper introductions and enough space are essential to prevent aggression between males.
ABOUT ME: My name is Bonnet, I came into care via a good Samaritan with my buddy/brother, Beret. We were lost in the big world and found ourselves here looking for a new home to call ours forever! We are healthy as a horse and have had little handling exposure so we might take a little time to warm up to our new family.
