His journey hasn't been the easiest, and River is hoping for a fresh start with someone who can provide the care he deserves. River is a sweet boy who may be a little aloof at first, but with gentle handling, he leans in for pats, softens up, and enjoys attention. He's a playful and curious companion who loves interacting with his people but also knows how to entertain himself when needed. This clever boy is food-motivated and already knows sit & shake. River enjoys playing with toys and would thrive in a home where his energy and intelligence can be put to good use through training games or fun activities like nose work. While he's enthusiastic on walks and tends to pull, he's equally interested in sniffing his surroundings and greeting others. River would be good with some older kids who can help keeping him entertained.River doesn't mind having all the attention to himself and be the only pet in the house. River is not good with cats, but is curious about other dogs, and might also be ok with another friendly, carefully matched, canine companion. River was a bit of an escape artist in his previous home, so will need a secure yard with proper Husky proof fencing.
