About Blaze

Meet Blaze, a special needs Border Collie with a heart full of potential! Blaze is deaf, so he will need an experienced, patient family who can provide a predictable, consistent routine and plenty of enrichment to keep his mind and body engaged. Long-term training will be key to helping Blaze manage his anxious behaviours and thrive in his new home. He must go to a home with another easy-going dog who can provide companionship and support in managing his anxiety. Due to his sensitivity, he is not suited for a home with children, as he can become very anxious in those environments. Blaze also has a strong chase drive and would not be suitable for a home with small animals or cats. If you're experienced with the breed and ready to give Blaze the time, structure, and training he needs, he will make a loyal, loving companion for the right family.
