About Matilda

Hello friends, my name is Matilda! Aren't I gorgeous?! I'm a young, energetic American Staffordshire Terrier gal, just a little over a year old. With my breed's reputation for being strong, you might expect me to be a bit of a handful, but I promise I'm have a sweet side. However, I'll need a confident and experienced human partner to guide me and help me become the best dog I can be. Here's what you need to know about me: I prefer my doggy friends to be of the same breed as me, and initially at least, I think it is best that I am the only pet in the home. That means no small pets - sorry, no cats, birds, or pocket pets. I wouldn't want to accidentally scare them with my playful nature. Oh, and no off-leash dog parks for me, just yet. Right now, I prefer my playtime to be a bit more structured and controlled. I need a home with someone who works average hours, so I can have a good balance of human interaction and time to relax. I also need my future family to understand and appreciate the unique qualities of my breed. If you're 15+ years old and have some experience with dogs like me, we might just be the perfect match.
