But she’s also the perfect balance of energy and calm; after a good play session, she’s more than content to curl up and just enjoy being with her people.Training Athena is a true pleasure. She’s incredibly smart and a quick learner, always eager to please. Whether you’re out for a walk (she’s a dream on the lead!) or hanging out in the house, she’ll be by your side, ready to offer affection and companionship. And if you're working from home, she’s the ideal office buddy, bringing a calming presence and all the love you need to get through your day.Sadly, Athena is our longest-term resident at the shelter, which breaks our hearts. Despite her many wonderful qualities, she’s often overlooked simply because of her size. But we can’t stress enough how truly special she is — she’s a big dog with an even bigger heart, and it doesn’t get much better than Athena.
