About Danny
Hi, I'm Danny!
I know I probably look like every other dog out there looking for a home... Medium sized, Staffy x, blah blah... Not what you're looking for, right? But just wait... you know that saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover'?? Well, that's me... so stick around a sec...
I'm super lucky that for a few months, I got to spend time in foster care, but I'm back at the shelter now. I already know all about living in a home and if you ask my foster carers, I'm super easy to live with! I'm toilet trained, I love the car, I love to walk and sniff, but equally I love a good couch day in front of the tv. I like other dogs... if they don't really like me, that's cool too... I can just do my own thing. I like meeting new people and I'm pretty patient so if you want to stop and chat, I can just chill with you. I don't love being by myself too much, but I'm easy to take places and once I know the routine, I'm happy to hang out at home alone for a while... I just need to know the drill first.
Truth be told, I think the world is a pretty cool place to explore... all the people, toys, life, the beach, cozy places to curl up, the sun, the garden... everything! Life is pretty AMAZING, don't you think??
So, what's the catch, right? Well, before you read the next bit... just stay open minded and maybe just take a chance and meet me before you put me in the too hard basket... cause I'm not hard... I'm actually pretty easy to care for...
I've had a history of chronic ear infections which resulted in me having surgery on both ears where both of my ear canals were removed, but those troubles are behind me now and you can talk to my vets about any of it to help you understand. I eat a diet that helps with allergies, and I take some pretty easy medication that isn't too expensive and I'm a new man! My foster carers have helped me adapt to life without hearing and really, they say I'm the same awesome me.
My ideal home will have kids over the age of 12 who understand how to play with me and trade for my favourite things, and someone who is home a bit to start with to help me settle in.
My foster Mum and Dad gave me so much support and love. Now I am looking for my forever family. I am on some special medication to help me cope with my stay at the shelter, so before you take me home you will need to speak to my behaviour vet.
So if we could fit together, you should give the shelter a call to arrange a time to come and see me! Be sure to bring all household members including any other dogs already living in the home.
XX Danny
PS. If you are reading this and do not think you are in a position to adopt but still want to help, please consider joining up as a foster carer, because you could make a difference and help in the most wonderful way.
