About Harry

Hi everyone! My name is Harry and it's so nice to meet you!

The consensus at the shelter is that I look like a sausage dog cross Staffy cross every other breed you can think of! That's what makes me one of a kind. I'm a young boy with a lot of spunk and love for the world but would benefit from someone who is able to guide me with learning the ropes of the big wide world from an experienced dog owner. As much as I enjoy going for walks, I will need some guidance to redirect my energy onto calmer things like sniffing, chewing or licking - this will keep me mentally happy and occupied! Personally, I find chewing things very soothing so please ensure to provide me with lots of toys and chews to gnaw my teeth on! I can get overexcited easily so it is important to go slow and give me breaks in between interactions and pats to ensure I'm comfortable. I will be most comfortable in an adult only household because I can get overwhelmed with a lot of movement and I can get snatchy with toys. A mature household will provide me with predictability, a consistent routine and also understand my body signals. Because I much prefer the company of humans, I will be most happiest being the only dog in the household - this means I get to have you all to myself! I love to spend time outdoors in the sun and having me-time, but I also love to be indoors spending quality time with my family. Having indoor and outdoor access will give me the freedom to rest wherever I feel comfortable. Though, I will say I think I'm pretty good at being alone and doing my own thing. The staff describe me as a happy go lucky kinda boy!
