About Mercury

Hey there! My name's Mercury it's so nice to meet you! I'm on the lookout for my furever home, could that be you? Well, here's a little about me so we can find out!

I'm a very sweet boy and I can be quite affectionate once I've gotten to know you. I didn't have the best start to life but I'm doing my best to learn and grow and become the best doggo I can be!

I'd like to go to a home with older children if you have any, 12 and above please! This is just because I can jump quite high! Usually I don't jump on people too much, and instead I just jump up. If I do jump on you, I'm very food motivated and I can be redirected with treats easily! I'm so smart! I'd also love to go to someone who has owned dogs before. I don't have a lot of life experience and will need a helping paw learning about the big wide world.

I love pats soooo much, but I need breaks sometimes please! It would be best if you give me little breaks between pats, I'm really good at walking away when I've had enough, so if you give me that chance I'd love that! And if I'm not finished with pats I'll stick around and get lots and lots more!

I'd like to go to a home where I'm the only doggo please! I'm super good at ignoring other dogs when I'm walks. I'll walk right past them and focus on my person (especially if you have treats!) However if I get too close it can get too much for me, and that's when I might start barking at the other dog. I'm not the type of dog to take to a dog park or have off leash time with dogs. But like I said, I'm happy to keep my distance and walk past them!

I'd love a home where I have a nice backyard to stretch my legs! Indoor settings take me a while to get used to, I haven't had much experience with them. So I'm more comfortable outdoors. I can probably learn to love being inside with you eventually, but at least at first I'd love access to outside.
