About Chase
Meet Chase, a spirited and affectionate doggo with a tale that tugs at the heartstrings. This handsome lad, with a past that reads like a good book, sadly carries the weight of a past shadowed by difficult times. Yet, through it all, Chase's love for people continues to shine brightly, a testament to his incredible resilience and gentle heart. He's a champion in adoring every moment spent with humans and he’s shown the staff here at the shelter just what the power of unconditional love can do. However, Chase carries a bit of caution in his heart towards other dogs, unfortunately meaning he must be the only dog in the home. His journey has taught him to cherish his peace, enjoying the company of humans that he is familiar with.
Chase's life in a kennel hasn't been his cup of tea, expressing his zest for life a tad vocally and showing us his strength on the lead. Yet, put a harness on this boy, and he's your guide to the wonders of the world, albeit a bit enthusiastic. With a keen mind, he's grasped the basics of manners and shows promise in overcoming his separation woes, inching closer to calmness each day, but will require your help with his ongoing learning. His journey ahead is one of discovery and learning, needing a home where his human companions are often around, kids are older and wise at heart (min. 12yrs), and he can explore as the only pet. A secure yard is his playground to explore, away from the hustle and bustle of other dogs or dog parks, ensuring his peace remains undisturbed. Chase dreams of a family ready to embark on a journey of growth with him, including ongoing training to nurture positive vibes towards other dogs from afar. With the support of our Behavior and Rehabilitation Team (BRT), Chase is set to weave his story of resilience and love into the hearts of those ready to guide him home.
