About Firenze
Hey there, potential adopters! My name is Firenze, and I'm here to tell you a bit about myself. You see, I might look like your average big black cat, but there's more to me than meets the eye. I'm a ball of energy and curiosity, always ready to explore every nook and cranny of my surroundings. Some might even say I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I thrive on adventure and excitement. Whether it's chasing string toys, pouncing on feather toys, or climbing to the highest perch in the room, I'm always up for some fun. I also love a good puzzle toy that challenges my clever mind.
Now, here's the thing – I can get a tad overstimulated at times. Loud noises, sudden movements, or too much handling can send me into a frenzy. I'm not a fan of crowded or chaotic environments, so a calm and quiet household would be purrfect for me. I'm looking for an experienced owner who understands my quirks and can provide me with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. While I'm a friendly guy at heart, I'd prefer a home without young children under 15, as their unpredictable behavior might be a bit too much for me to handle.
Despite my occasional wild streak, I have a lot of love to give to the right family. If you're looking for a furry companion who will keep you on your toes and provide endless entertainment, then look no further – I'm your guy! Come meet me today and let's see if we're the purrfect match.
Something important to know about me is that I have tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is a cat only disease which is very similar to HIV. Cats like me which are positive to FIV can live enjoy a good quality of life for a long time before the disease progresses. I am more vunerable to other diseases and as such should be kept indoor only to protect me from catching illnesses or from spreading FIV to other cats. FIV is not easily spread and the main way cats catch it is from bites from infected cats. If you do have other cats at home it is recommended that you take introductions very slowly and carefully to ensure we get along and do not fight. It would be best if I only go to a home with another FIV positive cat and that I remain an indoor only cat for life.
