About Fish sticks

Hey there, I’m Fish Sticks—a mature gentleman with a lot of love left to give. I’m a bit older, so I’ve seen my fair share of life’s ups and downs, but I’m still hopeful to find my perfect forever home. You see, I’m a pretty calm guy who enjoys the quieter things in life. I’d do best in a peaceful household, maybe without young children (under 6) running around. I love my space and a nice, comfy nap spot where I can just relax and enjoy the stillness.

I’m currently on behavior medication to help make my stay at the shelter a little easier, but with patience and understanding, I know I can thrive in a loving environment. Oh, and just a heads-up, I haven’t been vaccinated yet due to the national vaccine shortage, but once you have me home and settled a quick trip to your preferred vet is all I need to get that vaccine!

Now, let me tell you about my ears—don’t worry, it’s all good news! I had otitis externa, which is a fancy way of saying I had an ear infection. Thankfully, it’s all cleared up now after a round of ear medication, and the vets confirmed everything’s back to normal. No treatment needed at the moment, so my ears are as good as new!

And while I’m being honest, I did have some dental work done, so I might be missing a tooth or two. But hey, that just adds to my character, right? The good folks here at the RSPCA gave me a thorough health check, and everything looks good for now, but I am getting older. That means I might need a little extra care down the line as age-related health issues pop up.

I’m looking for someone with a big heart and a lot of patience to help me enjoy my golden years in peace. If that sounds like you, I think we could be a purr-fect match!
