About Ozzie

Hi there! My name is Ozzie, and I'm a 6 year old Australian Bulldog on the lookout for my next best home!

As a brachycephalic breed, I have a flat face and a short muzzle, which makes me super adorable but also means I need some extra care. Because of my unique face structure, it’s important to keep me cool and avoid too much strenuous exercise in hot weather. I can sometimes have trouble breathing if I get overheated or stressed, so my new family should be aware of these needs. 

I absolutely love interacting with people and am known for my sweet and affectionate nature. I’m great with handling and always happy to meet new friends, including kids. It’s best for everyone to meet me in person to make sure we all get along well and that I feel comfortable with my new human siblings. 

I do need to be the only dog in the household. I’m generally indifferent towards other dogs and don’t show much interest in having other doggy companions around whilst being at the shelter. So, if you’re looking for a loving, people-focused furry friend who’ll thrive as the solo pet in your home, I might just be your perfect match!
