Hello there, I'm Bear! I'm a handsome and playful Male Maremma Sheepdog, just a month shy of being 3 years old. I've met many dogs in the shelter, and I haven't shown a dislike to them, I'm happy to walk with them or explore our exercise areas but I don't do much playing with other dogs, I'm just happy to co-exist with them. I'm looking for a human who works average hours and lives a moderate lifestyle. Being a Maremma Sheepdog means I'm naturally protective and intelligent, so I'll need a home where my owner has some experience in training and managing my breed. I promise you, it's all worth it when you see the love and loyalty I'll give you in return. I'd fit best in a quiet and calm household, where I can relax and just be me. If you will need to have knowledge and experience with my breed, so you understand my behaviours in the home. I can't wait to meet you and start our journey together. • Must Meet Dogs (happy to coexist with other dogs - needs to meet to match play style)
• Breed Experience Essential (for behavioural management and understanding of breed)
• Must Have Yard Access (bigger yard the better, would suit a home where he can guard livestock)
• Colorbond 6ft Fencing (has escaped in previous home)
• Dog Confident Kids over 6 Yrs (due to breed, can be aloof and need space)
