About Sasha

Hi, I’m Sasha! At just over 9 years young, I still have plenty of love to give. I’m an American Staffy x Mastiff with a stunning brindle coat and the most gorgeous golden eyes—people always tell me I’m a beauty! I came into care through no fault of my own, and while life has had its ups and downs, I’ve proven I’m a strong girl. Since arriving in September, I’ve worked hard to shed 13kg (I was a little too well-loved before!) and am now a much healthier 45kg.

My perfect home would be with an experienced owner who has had large breed dogs before, where I have indoor/outdoor access. I adore human company and love getting attention, so I’d love to be the only pet in the house—I’m not a fan of sharing my space with other animals. I have a bit of a habit of chasing small critters, and I haven’t had much socialisation with other dogs in my life, so at my age, I’d rather just soak up all the love from my humans instead.

I’m affectionate, food-motivated (treats are the way to my heart!), and love nothing more than spending time with my people. I’d be best suited to a home with dog-savvy kids over 12 who understand my size and personality.

Medically, I do have hip dysplasia, but it’s being well-managed with supplements, and I don’t let it slow me down!
