About Sophie

Hi friends, my name is Sophie and it's lovely to meet you!

I'm on the search for a loving forever home after me and my sister were found abandoned and brought into the Hunter shelter. I've been waiting patiently but no one came looking for me so now it's time for me to find a place I can get the love and care I deserve.

I'm a sweet girl but I'm still learning to trust people again and so can sometimes get overwhelmed interacting with people, especially strangers. This sometimes causes me to get jumpy as I try come up to make sure you're going to be my friend. I'm working on my confidence and the staff have been helping me come up with some more appropriate coping strategies and I'm doing so well! For now though it would be best if kids in the home were older and confident with dogs so they can keep helping me work on being brave.

Like people I can find other dogs scary sometimes and prefer to keep my distance. With a short distance I can keep to myself and move on, I just become frightened if they come too close so I'd prefer to stick to the quiet areas where possible with my new family.

Requirements:

-Must meet all family - Children over 15 years

-Single Dog Household - Solid fencing
