About Kingston
Hello there, I’m Kingston, and I’m excited to finally find my forever home! I’m a big, beautiful boy with a heart full of love just waiting to give. While I may be a little shy at first and unsure about touch, once I warm up to you, I’ll show you just how clever I am! I’ll offer up all the cues I know, and I’ll be happy to do whatever you ask in exchange for some of that love and patience.
When I’m feeling excited, I can be a bit bouncy (who wouldn’t be with all this energy!), so it’s probably best if there are no young kids in the home – anyone over 15 would be ideal to avoid any unintentional bumps from my big, wobbly self! But don’t worry, once we build that bond, you’ll see what a sweet and loving companion I am.
I’ve picked up a few not-so-cute habits during my time at the shelter (hey, it’s a tough life in a kennel). Sometimes I get a little frustrated with the noise and chaos, so I might bang on the door to make sure I’m heard. I may also get a little riled up when I see other dogs walking by, but with the right guidance and patience, I’ll learn better ways to cope. I’m best suited for a home with a secure backyard and colorbond fencing so I can’t see out and get too worked up.
I would really benefit from a home with someone who has experience handling dogs with “quirks” like mine and is willing to help me grow into the best dog I can be. I might need some time, but I promise I’m worth it! If you're considering adding a furry sibling to your pack, let’s meet up first to see if we’re a good match – it’s important that we hit it off before heading home together. I’d also really appreciate having a safe haven in my new home where I can retreat if I ever feel a little overwhelmed. It’ll be my comfy spot to chill and recharge. I can’t wait to find someone who will give me the time and love I need to thrive. Could that someone be you?
