About Kingston
Hi there, I'm Kingston and I'm finally ready to find my forever home.
I'm a beautiful big boy who wants to love you in my own way - sometimes I'm unsure about touch and might be a little nervous when we first meet but once I warm up to you, I'm happy to do as you ask! I will offer up cues I know and show you how clever I am.
I can sometimes be a bit bouncy when I'm excited, so for this reason any kids in the home need to be over 15 years, just so I don't cause any unintentional harm with my big wobbly self. I've learnt some undesirable behaviours living in the shelter... when I'm left in my kennel I like to bang on the doors to be heard. I can get a little frustrated with dogs passing by my kennel, this might continue in the home so I would be best suited to a backyard with colorbond fencing so I can't see out. I will need my new owner to have experience with dogs that have "behaviours" we might not like in dogs, so they are able to help me with these and overtime make me into the best dog I can be. Due to my frustration with not being able to do much with dogs at the shelter, it would be best if I met any potential new siblings at the shelter before going home together. Please set me up with a safe haven in my new home, so I know I have somewhere to retreat to if I start to feel overwhelmed.
Ask the staff at the shelter about the tools I will need to decompress in my new home.
Can't wait to begin my new life!
