Hello, future family! My name’s Bonnie, and I’m a 7-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a new home where I can be my goofy, loving self. I’m pretty much the definition of “staffy personality” – sweet, loyal, and full of energy. I’ll love you with all my heart, but I’ll also need an owner who’s ready to handle my high-energy moments and respect my need for space when I’m still getting to know you. I'm happy to be around you, but give me a few minutes to get to know you before smothering me with pats and scratches. Let’s dive into what I need and what I bring to the table!

First things first: I’m looking for an experienced owner. I’m super responsive to my handler, and I’m easy to redirect when I get a little too excited, but let’s be real—my enthusiasm can be a lot. If you’re a first-time dog owner, I might overwhelm you a bit with my bouncy energy. I’m basically a toddler in a dog’s body (minus the tantrums… okay, maybe a few tantrums), and I need someone who can provide structure and clear boundaries. But trust me, I’m totally worth it! Once you’ve got me figured out, we’re going to be best buds for life.

When it comes to other dogs, I'm quite keen to play! Maybe a little too keen... I’m the kind of dog who loves meeting new pals and checking in with my human to make sure we’re on the same page. If you’ve already got a doggy sibling at home, I’d love to meet them—let’s make sure we have a proper introduction first, and then we can have tons of fun together!

I love people, but I’m a little too bouncy for younger children. When I get excited, I sometimes forget my manners and might jump up or get a little overenthusiastic—so younger kids aren’t really my thing. I need older kids and adults who can keep up with my playful energy and know how to guide me in a way that works for both of us. I’m looking for a calm, experienced human family who can handle my excitement, appreciate my love for the outdoors, and understand that I may need time to get comfortable around new people.
